Our staff take time to share lessons of good oral health with our wider community.

In-house excursion

Pre-schoolers from a local Early Learning Centre visited us in the clinic to have a virtual dental experience.

Children were given a tour, an opportunity to ride in the chair, and a fun interactive session discussing diet & oral care at home.

Our first ever in-house excursion was a great success and we are happy to have seen some familiar faces in the clinic since.

Early Learning Centre Visits

We truly believe that dental literacy starts young and since our opening we have attended many Pre-Schools and Early Learning Centres around the Border region.

Sessions are interactive with teachings about healthy oral habits and “good foods and bad foods”. The kids get to dress up as a dentist and everyone gets a show bag to take home!

Special Needs Education

Sophie and Jackie visited AWARE industries in Wodonga to do an Oral Health education presentation for people with disabilities.

They discussed diet and oral hygiene, and all the participants got a Colgate pack with a brush, paste, floss and mouth rinse.
We completed plaque disclosing, and did a practical demonstration on cleaning our teeth with lots of 1 on 1 assistance.

International Aid

In February 2020 Dr Jonathan Harrison and a stellar group of dentists visited the Philippines and volunteered their time and skills, to help the people of Romblon with their dental health.

A total of 692 patients were treated, with approximately 2800 teeth extracted.

Jackie volunteered alongside 15 other Dentists and Oral Health Therapists in Chiang Dao Thailand in October 2024.

Through 100% humidity and 30 degree heat, they saw over 460 patients in 2 days.

Jackie and Jonathan hope to be able to do more of these trips in the future, and the rest of the team are keen to join them!

Jonathan returned to the Philippines again in 2023, this time volunteering through a group called Medical Mission of Mercy USA.

He was based in a village in Moncada, Tarlac.

Jonathan estimated removing about 50 teeth per day, in 36 degree heat, with no reclining chairs or modern day dental equipment.
